About Us

Sunraysia Farmers Market has one very simple aim.

To provide the platform that links good food direct from the region’s producers with the community.

That’s why we are passionate about our farmers market.

This simple ideal actively promotes and supports community, cultural, economic and environmental wellbeing on numerous levels.

What we do…

Producers
SFM provides the platform that links good food direct from the region’s genuine producers with our community. We typically have 40+ stallholders attend every market.

Farmers Market Breakfast
Showcasing the freshness, quality and variety of market-sourced produce while providing a fair price for producers.  Run on volunteer resources, the SFM breakfast stall is the backbone of the market. Taste the difference farm-fresh produce makes!

Cooking Demonstrations
We conduct occasional free cooking demonstrations at our markets. Be amazed as our invited chefs offer, educate and inspire healthy food options using seasonal produce that has been sourced directly from the market.

Live entertainment by local musicians and singers creates a fantastic atmosphere at our combined and special markets.

Children’s activities
Playgrounds, occasional free face painting and biscuit decorating, community groups such as Let’s Read, provide activities for the children.

Riverfront Boutique Market
Beautiful, eclectic local handmade craft and arts. Held roughly every second month (6 times per year) with each market attracting up to 50 extra “maker” stallholders.

Volunteers Program
Building partnerships with local leading community groups to attract volunteer resources. The program also offers participants a sense of community wellbeing, rich work/life experiences and rewards volunteers for their contributions.

Friends of Sunraysia Farmers Market Program
Offering not-for-profit community organisations the opportunity to promote their organisation at SFM in return for volunteer support.
