Fundraising Fun

Our President Warrick Dickson, is well appreciated in our SFM community, for the huge contribution he has made over the many years of his market involvement.

On Friday the 9th June , a ‘bright idea’ was ‘floated’. Let’s do an ice bath in the depths of winter in the hope of raising a few $$ for Brain Cancer.

Never one to shy away from a chance to show his physique and fashion style, Warrick had his hand up faster than an umpire at a footy game, when the call went out for volunteers.

Donning his summer speedos, he made the rounds of the market, gathering contributions from rugged up puffer vested and mittened supporters.

With a crowd of eager watchers, he dived into the icy waters with a style and grace that would have made Ian Thorpe proud.

We are super proud of Warrick who never shies away from a chance to help. Well done Warrick and all of the crew at Alt Locker Mildura. Special thanks to all of those that did reach out to donate.

King’s Birthday Weekend

Our Combined Market. on the June long weekend, is a great drawcard for locals and visitors.

On Saturday we will be combining with Riverfront Boutique Markets – Mildura to provide a showcase of local food and artisan crafts.

Our farmers and producers are busy in the fields and their kitchens, stocking up for what is a traditionally busy market.

We will feature live music from Greg and Julia.

As always the local Lions Club will be cooking up a storm with our Farmer’s brekkie stall.

Treat yourself Saturday June 10, 8am-12pm Jaycee Park Mildura.

What’s in Season?

As we see the last of Autumn and head into winter, our market is filled with fresh seasonal delights. With pomegranates, persimmons, olives, capsicum, citrus, quince and beetroot being some of the fabulous locally grown produce, brought fresh to market by our farmers.

We also have Berri North Meat store, with their own special Mettwurst, twiggy sticks and beef jerky.

Anita from the Red Zucchini has home made chutney, jellies, lemon curd, along with jams and I’d be amiss if we didn’t mention her Anzac biscuits and fruit leathers. People travel from far and wide to buy Anita’s Anzac biscuits!

Tabletop Grapes have preserved capsciums, mushrooms, asparagus, along with succulent dried fruits. All perfect to create a gourmet grazing board.

Easter Market 2023

If you are passionate about food, or love locally made craft, our Easter Market is the perfect place to visit this year.

Our breakfast stall is an affordable option, with handpicked ingredients from our stallholders. Feeling hungry, try the farmer’s brekkie, which has a bit of everything. We do have plenty of other options to choose from else well. Certainly mention to us if you have any dietary issues, we will do our very best to cater (where possible).

As you wander under the magnificent gums, listen to the happy beats coming from local muscians.

There are plenty of tables and chairs to sit and relax at, as well.

All of our stallholders are passionate about what they grow, make or produce. They will happily be able to explain all that goes into bringing an item to the market, ready for sale.

Our Easter Market will run from 8am-12pm April 8, Jaycee Park, Mildura (Hugh King Drive – Tennis Court end.
